Disciplinary and Grievance in the Essex workplace

On occasion issues arise which require delicate handling because they are either disciplinary concerns or form part of a grievance.

To avoid problems these should be handled both in accordance with your policies and the ACAS code. Basically these issues should be investigated, hold a hearing, formulate a decision and if necessary hold an appeal. Failure to follow this process will give rise to problem if summoned to a tribunal.

For smaller companies where there are insufficient layers of management or the management lacks the expertise to carry out this process this can lead to difficulties.

Newman HR have many years experience of conducting detailed disciplinary or grievance investigations, chairing hearings and appeals to ensure compliance with the ACAS code and to minimise tribunal risk.
